New Orleans Gold in a Gravel Pile!

I am detecting in the park and I have gold prospecting on my mind and I see this pile of gravel, so I walk over to it and start swinging my detector to find a big gold nugget in a classified pile of gravel in New Orleans! The gravel was sold as all being near the same size stream washed pieces so I am thinking big nugget! Well, I found my gravel treasure!!! Some civil war pieces! The copper piece below has a fine mesh screen inside the circular end at the top you cannot see, the tube is soldered and sticks up inside slightly and the hole is open all the way through, maybe its the end of a powder bag? I need an ID for the bullet type. Both these pieces are about the same size as the gravel! What a surprise! Now I have to find out where that load of gravel came from!!
